一、教學目標
1. To get the listening skills and words and expressions used in listening and speaking.
2. To get the listening strategies, especially picking out the key information of the questions, such as what, when, where, why and how.
3. Students can adapt their learning strategies according to the content of the unit.
4. Students can understand the characteristics of natural disasters.
二、教學重難點
Teaching key points:
1. Help students get familiar with some difficult words before listening.
2. Enlighten students to report natural disasters in a logical way.
Teaching difficult points:
1. Deal with some difficult words in listening.
2. Enable students to retell and report the natural disasters.
三、教學過程
Step 1. Lead-in
The teacher will show students a video about different disasters. Then ask students what they can see in the video and what are the names of disasters to lead in the topic.
【設計意圖】教師通過出示視頻,然后讓學生回答相關(guān)問題,可以激發(fā)起學生的學習興趣,自然地引入新課。
Step 2. Pre-listening
The teacher will hold a free-talk about what may happen in these disasters. After five minutes, the teacher will invite some students to show their results.
【設計意圖】通過組織自由討論的活動形式,可以啟發(fā)學生的思維,并且在自由討論的過程中也可以鍛煉學生的小組合作能力和語言表達能力。
Step 3. While-listening
1. The teacher will ask students to listen to the text quickly and find out the main idea of the text.
2. The teacher will play the tape again and students should circle the key words in the questions below and write the kind of information they refer to. Then listen again and answer the questions.
3. Students will listen to the tape carefully and discuss with their partners about the main points of a news report.
【設計意圖】通過回答問題、填表格等活動形式,學生可以掌握文章的大意、細節(jié)信息和新聞報告的結(jié)構(gòu)。同時也可以培養(yǎng)學生的對于信息的提取和分析能力,提高學生的聽力技巧,也體現(xiàn)了良好的育人價值。
